My Holiday In The UK Fishing

A Carp fishing UK holiday with its unreliable weather is a hit and miss affair. Taking a holiday where my wife and children could be entertained while I did a little fishing was occupying most of my time. My children want the beach while my wife takes a neutral standpoint so having spent some time researching the best locations that provide both beach and fishing we decided to go to Poole in Dorset and booked two weeks at the Welcome Stranger caravan park. This holiday park is clean and has well organised activities for the kids and my wife loved the social night life with Palladium style performing artists, I thought these older style holiday camps had gone to the wall but not so.

My children spent all and every day either sailing at the camps sailing school or learning to windsurf. I spent two weeks fishing in the Poole area and managed to combine both fishing and family. I have seen holidays offered abroad but with the cost of going abroad but I can honestly say the fishing challenge in the UK is alive and well.

It was good to see my children entertained and occupied in a sport that left them happy, tiered and healthily hungry. My wife had a relaxing two weeks and enjoyed the night life and social interaction. I had my fishing and we all returned home after the holiday relaxed and rejuvenated. We have already booked our return next year.
